Terms of Service

Welcome to DriveTree.io ("DriveTree", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DriveTree website and services. By accessing or using DriveTree, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

DriveTree provides a visual file tree interface for viewing and organizing files stored in your Google Drive account. It connects to your Google Drive using authorized access and displays your files in an alternative interface designed to simplify navigation. Key features include:

  • Browsing, searching, and previewing files across multiple Google Drive accounts
  • In-app file editing, renaming, uploading, and organizing
  • Transferring files between connected Google Drive accounts
  • Transferring file ownership to other Google accounts
  • AI-powered file renaming suggestions
  • Duplicate file detection and empty folder cleanup
  • Metadata-only backup snapshots of your file structure

DriveTree does not permanently host or store your files. During certain operations (such as cross-drive transfers or file editing), file contents may be temporarily processed in memory but are never written to our storage.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Google Drive Integration

DriveTree integrates with Google Drive through Google OAuth authorization. By connecting your Google account, you grant DriveTree permission to access your Google Drive files and metadata, including:

  • File names and folder structure
  • File identifiers, MIME types, and metadata
  • File size, modification dates, and sharing permissions

DriveTree does not permanently store file contents. Certain features (file preview, editing, and cross-drive transfers) require temporary access to file contents, which is processed in memory and discarded immediately. You may revoke access at any time through your Google account permissions.

4. AI-Powered Features

DriveTree offers optional AI-powered features such as Smart Rename. When you use these features, file metadata (names, types, and dates) may be sent to Google Gemini API to generate suggestions. File contents are never sent to AI services. AI features are available only on paid plans.

5. Referral Program

DriveTree may offer a referral program that rewards users for inviting others to subscribe. Referral rewards are subject to eligibility conditions and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Abuse of the referral system (including self-referrals or fraudulent signups) may result in forfeiture of rewards and account suspension.

6. Payments

Certain features of DriveTree require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment provider. By purchasing access, you agree to pay all applicable fees. All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the Service
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the platform
  • Abuse the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Service Availability

DriveTree is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time without notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, and design associated with DriveTree are owned by DriveTree.io. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service without prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DriveTree shall not be liable for:

  • Data loss or corruption
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Any damages exceeding the total amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms. You may also stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
